The Wildest Party Bars In The World

June 28, 2023

Hey Tourist! When planning a trip, a solid itinerary is a smart thing to have in place. For individuals who love to have fun, one of the top items on their list of things to do is visiting a wild party bar. Nothing says a great vacation like going to a great bar and hanging out with the locals. For those who love to follow the party, here is a list of the hottest bar destinations in the world.

1OAK - Mexico City, Mexico

Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, has a population of nine million. The official language is Spanish, but there are sixty-eight languages and roughly 350 dialects spoken. Mexican food has a distinctive flavor because Mexicans use chilies like jalapeño and chipotle. Renting a furnished nine hundred square foot apartment in the city proper can run more than one thousand U.S. dollars monthly.

Mexico City has many popular nightclubs, but 1OAK (one of a kind) is the trendiest. New York’s The Butter Group owns it, and it was designed to bring back the feel of the Manhattan New York club scene of the eighties and nineties. One of this exclusive nightspot’s most extravagant features is a black marble and crystal bar. The club was inspired by The Da Vinci Code, a mystery-detective novel written by Dan Brown. Roy Nachum, who decorated the club using the book as a starting off point, designed the interior of 1OAK. This glamorous club has several dazzling chandeliers to dance and gyrate under, and for privacy and intimate conversation, booths and banquettes are available. Patrons start rolling in late because the drinking and partying start at eleven p.m. and ends at three a.m. A-list celebrities have been sighted there, such as Scott Disick and the mother of his three children, Kourtney Kardashian. He recently checked out of a drug rehabilitation center and went to Mexico to treat himself to some massive partying at 1OAK.

Escape to the Netherlands next.

Club Escape – Amsterdam, Netherlands

The Netherlands is in Western Europe and its capital is Amsterdam, nestled in North Holland. The official language is Dutch, and there are four dialects spoken in different areas. English is not an official language, but the majority of Dutch individuals speak it. The Netherlands also has developed its own sign language, called Nederlandse Gebarentaal. Club Escape is in Rembrandt Square (Rembrandtplein), the epicenter of Amsterdam’s vibrant nightlife. Visitors will know they are in the square because a large statue of the famous painter, Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn, stands there.

Club Escape has been a staple of the Dutch club scene since 1986, and it is a building housing different Escape clubs. Escape is known for its unique types of events and its exciting club nights offered by the club or by third-party organizers. There are four rooms to explore in the building: Club Escape, The Basement, Escape De Lux, and Studio. Each room caters exclusively to their hip clientele’s eclectic musical tastes, from house and electro music to techno and pop music. Partygoers will notice the state-of-the-art sound systems, visuals, and lights, which create unique atmospheres in every room. Escape is proud to own the largest LED screen in Europe behind the disc jockey area. The club’s restaurant, The Escape Caffé, is a perfect place to check out the crowd before deciding on the perfect room.

Partygoers may cry for joy at this Argentinian destination coming up next.

Amerika – Buenos Aires, Argentina

Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, has a distinct European cosmopolitan feel. Argentina is known for its lively tango music. The official language is Spanish, but English, Portuguese, Italian, French, and German are spoken as well. The Argentinian diet consists of assado style (barbecue) meat, bread, and wine, and their baked goods are beyond sweet.

Amerika is located in the barrio (neighborhood) of Almagro of Buenos Aires. It pumps out non-stop pop, house, techno, and cumbia music on three dance floors called Continental, Caribbean, and Crystal. This massive venue holds over 1,800 people who want to party. Amerika is open only from Thursday to Sunday and is lesbian, bisexual, gay, straight, and transgender friendly. The club loves all the patrons who party there, and when a birthday comes up, customers are encouraged to let their servers know so they can get in on free admission, a glass of champagne, and birthday cake. Not all clubs go the extra mile for the patrons who frequent their establishments, so the personal touch Amerika provides is appreciated. Amerika is the most famous weekend spot in Argentina. Drinks are cheap, and the music will keep everyone moving well into the break of dawn. There is a cover charge of roughly five U.S. dollars, and on Friday and Saturday nights this entitles customers to drink for free. Arrive between one and two in the morning for ultimate party fun.

Harlem Nights - New York City, New York

New York is the fiftieth state on the northeastern side of the United States, and it is the seventh-most densely populated state with more than eight million people as of 2015. New York City (NYC) is a global leader in commerce, finance, and entertainment. The cost of living is high, making it almost impossible for some individuals to dwell there. New York City has more than seven hundred miles of subway track, which makes it easy to get to work, school, and NYC’s Harlem Nights.

Harlem Nights opened in 2015, but it is already the hot spot for the Uptown singles crowd. You will find young trendsetters enjoying a variety of live music, from jazz and rock to soul. The real reason club attendees are excited about being there is because of its calendar of parties. Harlem nights organizes pajama parties, and it lures weekend customers and pajama partiers to buy bottomless mimosa brunches on Sundays. Pajama parties, Sunday mimosas, and brunch are the perfect way to end a crazy weekend. Harlem Nights attracts celebrities as well. Remy Ma, who married rapper Papoose while he was in prison in 2008, threw him a birthday party at the club. The theme was from the movie Harlem Nights, and Papoose dressed up as Eddie Murphy’s character, while Remy played Della Reese’s character. Their guests had to dress in the fashion from the 1920s.

The Druid's Rock – Rome, Italy

Rome, the capital of Italy, houses four million residents in just under five hundred square miles. Rome is the most popular tourist attraction in Italy, and the Vatican is often the first stop for many religions. Living in Rome is expensive, with a nine hundred square foot furnished apartment going for more than 1,800 U.S. dollars per month. When in Rome, do as the Romans do (loosely translated) was coined by Saint Ambrose, in 387 A.D. The Druid’s Rock does as the Romans do, but with an Irish twist. It is one of three Irish pubs owned by the same Irish/Italian family. The bars are near each other and are easily accessed by public transportation. The Rock extends its hospitality to all who come through its doors, and they offer the finest pub food to the hungry.

An Irish pub would not be a pub without making an extensive variety of cask beer available. Its customers can choose from eight different types of lager, ale or pilsner beer, including Guinness, Becks, Kilkenny, Harp, and Fosters. There is something for everyone at Druid Rock. The bands performing at the bar play anything from rock and jazz to Italian and Irish songs. Sports fans can watch their teams play on Sky Sports and Sky Italia, and international satellite news is broadcast for patrons. The Rock is open seven days a week until two in the morning.

It's time to move overseas to Brazil for the next party.

Fosfobox, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Rio de Janeiro, Rio for short, is the sixth largest city in the Americas. It is the second largest city in Brazil and the third largest city in the whole of South America. It was proud to host the 2016 Summer Olympics and attracted millions of fans to its beautiful scenery and friendly businesses.

Singer Rod Stewart played to around three million people on Copacabana Beach in the nineties, but when The Rolling Stones played the same location, roughly one million fans attended their show. Fosfobox cannot hold millions of guests, but it does attract many music-loving tourists and locals with a great mix of musical genres ranging from hip-hop to Brazilian samba. Fosfobox is a diverse club because it also has different types of entertainment like live theater, cinema, poetry, and other cultural entertainment. For clientele who like to dance, the floor is open if they can find a spot. One online review said it took a patron forty minutes to get into the club, but it was worth the wait. This club is one of the gems of Rio de Janeiro, second only to Carnival. Carnival is an annual five-day festival held before Lent, and a staggering two million people drink, dance, and gyrate on its packed streets each day. For hardcore clubbers, Fosfobox is Rio’s all year round carnival which keeps people dancing and celebrating well into the morning.

It's time to head back to the United States for the next destination.

Milk Bar - San Francisco, California

San Francisco, California is situated at the tip of a peninsula surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, San Francisco Bay, and the Golden Gate, a narrow marine passageway between San Francisco and Marin County. It measures forty-seven square miles in total and has a population of just under 730,000.

The Milk Bar, located on Haight Street, is part of the historic Haight-Ashbury area. This neighborhood is best known for the psychedelic rock band Jefferson Airplane and for the bohemian hippies who lived there in the late sixties. Once the hippies moved out, the yuppies (young upwardly mobile people) moved in, changing its peace, love and groovy feel. The bar has made itself indispensable as the go-to venue for live rock, featuring the best of San Francisco’s indie bands. The main room is painted milk-white, in keeping with the name of the club, and the rear stage area has contrasting black walls and low key lighting. Their website is also tastefully done in its signature black and white theme, and there are many photos of the bands that have played there, pictures of the bar itself, and of staff and guests having a blast there. Milk Bar is currently looking to book new bands and disc jockeys to perform at the club throughout the week.

The next destination requires a trip around the world.

Cliff Dive – Sydney, Australia

Australia is a continent and a country including Tasmania and several smaller islands, and it is the sixth largest country in the world. Its closest neighbors are Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and New Zealand. Australia is most known for its unique animals, like eucalyptus-eating koala bears, kangaroos, wild dingoes, and duckbill platypuses.

In the 1700s, almost 200 thousand British convicts were sent to Australia. The first fleet of eleven convict ships arrived in the late 1700s in Sydney. Sydney was the first European settlement founded in Australia. Today it is home to Cliff Dive, a tiki bar and nightclub, which opened in 2013. The owners, Alex Dowd and Jeremy Blackmore, got in a bit of a sticky wicket when they first opened Cliff Dive because Sydney changed its liquor licensing laws. The owners used to host all-night parties, but the laws caused them to stop serving alcohol past three in the morning. This meant the party ended too early for the hardcore Aussie revelers. Australians are a hardy bunch, and the owners revived the club with a new chef, bartender, and decor. Their drink menu is extensive, and their signature fresh banana drink is wicked. The Mr. Cavendish tastes like a bad-for-you smoothie, laced with a potent tequila. Everything about this spunky bar and its owners says 'good time had by all.'

It's time to brush up on French for the next party destination.

Le Titty Twister – Paris, France

Paris, the capital of France, is home to the Eiffel Tower. The City of Love has more than two million inhabitants and is the birthplace of many well-known individuals. Some of the most famous people born in Paris are the notorious sexual deviant and author Marquis de Sade, military leader Napoleon III, actor Moliere, and musician Yo-Yo Ma. France is home to the lively cabaret dance, the Can-Can. It is a high-energy, vigorous dance popular in French music halls in the 1800s.

Another French cultural icon is Le Titty Twister. It is ideal for celebrities like Paris Hilton, heiress to the Hilton dynasty, and Jaden Smith, son of actors Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. Generally, many experienced club goers do not show their faces until almost closing time, so many of them arrive fashionably late. If they arrive before one in the morning, they can come and go with ease, but after that, they should expect a huge line of impatient partiers and a doorman not known for his good moods. The proprietors of Le Titty Twister designed it to make people feel like they are home when they descend the double staircase lined in abstract pendants. They wanted an atmosphere of fun and sophistication, and they accomplished that. Twister is the darling of the cool underground set, and it is open every day from nine a.m. to five a.m.

Hop on over to Germany for the next party.

Mach1 - Nuremberg

The city of Nuremberg is in the state of Bavaria in Germany. Nuremberg has a long, rich history and beautiful architecture dating back to medieval times. Mach1 has been around the scene for more than twenty years and will become part of Nuremberg's history as far as nightclubs go. They pull out all the stops and provide excellent amenities for their many guests to experience. Every design and every accessory in the club is fresh and new, so Mach1 sets the trend in ambiance, style and atmosphere. Wicked disc jockeys spin like mad fools in the House of Sound and play various genres of music like rap, hip-hop and house for all their dance-crazed clientele. The bars, VIP-area, and the disc jockey platform are all centrally located around the huge dance floor, so no one misses any action while they are absorbing their fave tunes. The proprietors of Mach1 know everyone needs a place to unwind and relax, so partiers can go to the Living Room to take a breath and drink a fabulous cocktail or a beer. Comfortable seating at the tables and the uber-impressive bar encourages conversations with bartenders and friends, both old and new. Mach1 is 'the' place to be in Germany.

At54 – Mykonos, Greece

Mykonos is an island in the Aegean Sea belonging to Greece. It is a tiny country of only thirty-three square miles and has a population of just over ten thousand. In Greek mythology, it is said Hercules lured the invincible giants from Mount Olympus to the island and killed them, and the boulders on the island are their petrified testicles. Mykonos Island is known for its progressive thinking. The locals look forward to welcoming lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered individuals from all over the world to participate in their exciting events.

The Mykonos Accommodation Center is available to organize its visitors’ vacations. The Accommodation Center’s website lists all the happenings available to visitors, like beach events, gay cruises, and festivals. Mykonos did not acquire its reputation as a party place from ultra-conservative families nor those who have been retired for many years. It happened because of the fun-loving tourists and locals who know the value of living their lives to the fullest. This includes making time for celebrating and dancing at the hottest club on the tiny island, At54. At54 Lounge Bar and Discotheque opened its doors in 2014, so it is fairly new on the scene, though it has created quite a buzz because of its exclusive weekly parties. The best disc jockeys spin their magic to keep the room hopping. It is open until six a.m., just in time to have a glass of champagne and breakfast.

Head over to England next.

Foundation - London, England

London, the capital city of England, is located on the River Thames. It is home to Big Ben, a famous clock tower, and Westminster Abbey, where British monarchs are crowned. The British have different accents and dialects reflecting where they live, and they love to go to the pub for some darts and a pint or two.

After the pub, many young Brits travel deep into the heart of Convent Garden and get their groove on at Foundation Bar. Like-minded hipsters and clubbers blow off steam after a hard day’s work. Foundation prides itself on keeping its vibes relaxed and inviting, and encourage their patrons to let their hair down. In line with their outlook on vibes, Foundation has a strict no dress code policy. The club does not want its customers spending weeks shopping for the perfect outfit, so it is a come-as-you-are affair. Partiers are then free to use the extra time they saved not shopping for dancing to the booming House beats and remixes. Monday to Friday everyone gets in free, and on Saturdays, party animals pay a nominal admission fee. Besides dancing and drinking, customers are offered boxed up burgers brought to the table or freshly made pizza appetizers and mains served in the diner at a Lego table. Foundation never fails to deliver the ultimate in casual dining, dancing, drinking and socializing.

For the final destination on this list simply remember: what happens there, stays there.

Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub- Las Vegas

Las Vegas is in Nevada’s Mojave Desert. The Strip has more than four miles of themed hotels, and tourists hope to strike it rich at the hotels’ casinos or take in high-class shows. Some of the more adventurous travelers visit the hotel nightclubs for entertainment. Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub is not just a club. It is a Vegas legend. It draws free thinking revelers from all around the world who want to experience the decadence. Six thousand enthusiastic party goers have sixty thousand square feet to show off their new moves while taking in the primo music through the 1.5 million dollar sound system.

Speaking of indulgence, Kim Kardashian held her 2011 birthday party at the Marquee, and she paid 100 thousand dollars to reserve her spot. Also for 100 thousand dollars, individuals wanting the privilege of saying they partied with Kim pay for the privilege even if they did not meet her. This is not your run of the mill nightspot. When the exclusive nightclub turns into the day club, it offers the same bar service, but amenities include an infinity pool and private bungalows. The price tag would make working class individuals cringe, and one leading men’s magazine describes the price of luxury and excessiveness at the Marquee club as the "the best night 500 thousand dollars can buy.”
